Initialize a group interaction
Learn how to use the /group/InitializeInteraction endpoint.
A group interaction is a type of interaction in which a conversation can occur between 2 or more participants, who could be end users or EDNPCs (in simulations).
When initializing a group conversation, you must enter the following details:
The interaction sessions of the users or EDNPCs participating in the conversation
The interaction mode of the group interaction.
Affective Computing powered by Virtue supports the following interaction modes for group interactions:
Directed
In this mode, you (the API user) must direct the conversation by selecting the participant who responds or interacts next.
Automated
In this mode, EDAA™ directs the conversation; the next participant who interacts in the conversation is automatically selected.
When a group interaction is initialized, its group ID is generated.
