Initialize a group interaction

Learn how to use the /group/InitializeInteraction endpoint.

A group interaction is a type of interaction in which a conversation can occur between 2 or more participants, who could be end users or EDNPCs (in simulations).

When initializing a group conversation, you must enter the following details:

• The interaction sessions of the users or EDNPCs participating in the conversation

• The interaction mode of the group interaction.

Affective Computing powered by Virtue supports the following interaction modes for group interactions:

Interaction mode	Description
Directed	In this mode, you (the API user) must direct the conversation by selecting the participant who responds or interacts next.
Automated	In this mode, EDAA™ directs the conversation; the next participant who interacts in the conversation is automatically selected.

When a group interaction is initialized, its group ID is generated.
